We are going to be very selective this year in relation to which Wedding Shows we choose to exhibit at. One of the main criteria will be that the event has to be 'different', i.e. not just another show in another hotel with the same uninspiring exhibitors. Venue is also therefore important, both in terms of being a little unusual and in terms of location, easy access and catchment area. How the event is promoted and advertised has to be high up the list as well of course - there is nothing more soul destroying that an event which attracts too few visitors. Most important though is the facility to put on our fashion show. We love our fashion shows because we know our gowns look their very best when being shown off on a real person.
We have been approached by many event organisers over the past couple of months but only one event has caught our eye and meets all the above criteria. We are therefore delighted to announce that Calm Amongst the Chaos by Frances Farmer will be the chosen bridal gown supplier in the 'Vintage Room' at the Hampshire Wedding Show on Sunday 4th March.

Back to work and how better to start than with a birthday celebration! My lovely assistant, Hannah's birthday and news of her engagement over Christmas as well. My neice also announced her engagement so what a great way to start the new year. Our first bride this year is getting married in South Africa and so we have been working hard sewing on crystals, sequins and beads as she needs her dress by the end of January. Not too much pressure! This morning have already measured another lucky girl who is getting married in a tree house. Thought this was such a great idea. She is going for a slightly unusual design and cant wait to start that. I also have just had an order for a lovely faux fur wrap which will be made in a frothy fur-so snuggly.
