Every year I design a new collection of wonderful dresses and accessories that can enhance any outfit be it for the perfect wedding or in fact any special occasion. All the items come in a selection of colours and sizes. Anything chosen from the collection can be produced in a time scale of 6 weeks.
I also offer a couture design and dressmaking service which involves designing especially for you and creating the look just for you. Co-ordinated wedding accessories,for example, can be great as everyone can have their own style but maybe co-ordinate with colours and fabrics. This is a great way to end up with the exact look you want. The couture service includes making toiles from calico in order to get the perfect fit and design.
A visit to the studio would be needed in this instance so that time can be spent with me to give the opportunity to discuss ideas. Fittings are always necessary,usually 4-6 depending on the design etc.
More time is needed for this service and it would be safe to say the maximum time available necessary depending on the volume and complexity of the design project.
It's a common misconception that having something bespoke made will be cheaper than buying off the peg. However when something is made-to-measure making a pattern and toile, sourcing materials, doing individualised fittings and measurements, etc for that specific garment can be a long process. We do always endeavour to keep our prices as reasonable as possible however these factors all add to the equation. Alterations can also be undertaken to make your chosen outfit look wonderful. In having a garment made especially for you, not only be assured you will receive a garment fitted for your shape and style but you will be involved directly with the dressmaking process and encouraging local talent and livelihood.
