At Calm Amongst the Chaos we design clothes in an oversized, relaxed and comfortable fit. Therefore the silhouette we create is the shape of the clothes rather than the shape of the body beneath. This way our styles have a more universal fit and have longevity if the body of the wearer changes.

Almost all styles have two size options.

Size A - Small to regular build.

Size B - Regular to large build.

Our Jenny Jeans, Guthrie Dungarees and Camille Dress, although still oversized, are designed with the waist measurement in mind. Therefore they come in two sizes which are not directly comparable to A + B.

Size 1 - Waist 31” - 34"

Size 2 - Waist 36" - 42"

We also offer 3 lengths on all garments apart from tops.

Custom lengths are available but are non-returnable unless faulty. With that in mind it is better to try and choose from the lengths we offer. We also might not be able to give an exchange due to fabric supplies etc.

Follow our size drawings to find out which size you need and note that you may need different sizes when ordering tops or bottoms. The drawings above show the size which the garments can fit. The 'oversize’ can be anything from 4-12 inches bigger than your body measurements. Therefore if your body measures the top measurement of size A it does not necessarily mean you need a size B. Any doubts please contact the team for help.

To make ordering easier we recommend  you take these measurements of yourself to gauge how our garments might fit:

Notebook 8 (dragged).jpg

Forearm circumference
to determine the fit of a sleeve. Bend your arm and measure around the largest point below the elbow.

Waist
Stand normally and measure around yourself at the midpoint between chest and hip.

Hip
Remove bulky clothing and standing normally measure around yourself at the top of your thighs.

Outside leg
to determine the length of trousers. Measure from your waist down the outside leg to the finished hem measurement. If however, you don't wear your trousers on your waist please take that into consideration when ordering.

Calf circumference
to determine the fit of a trouser leg. Bend your leg and measure around the largest point below the knee. This measurement is especially important for harem trousers.

Dropped Crotch
Measure from the center waist down as far as the listing states. It may seem like a long measurement but this is how it is designed to be.

Overall and sleeve length
Standing up straight measure from where your collarbones meet down the center of your body or arm as far as the listing states. This will determine where the length will sit on your body.
